Natural Hair love Affair, I am so excited to find your site. I had no idea. I was on Nat.Sun to chat with you before my Big Chop. You might remember me. I was intrigued by your username so I called you my Big Sister. I clicked on a button or someplace there and it pulled up this site. What!!! I didn’t know!!! This is beautiful! I have scanned through some of your tabs and the products page is so cool. Let’s just say come pay day, “I’m ’bout to get crazy up in here.”

    Hello NHLA,

I’m grateful to have found your site. I’ve worn my hair natural(pretty much the fade and close to bald look) for over 20 years. I’m now attempting to loc it all. I wore the bald with 3 locs in the front for a while because I love to be different and I didn’t have the patience for a head full of locs. I’m ready to try again and hope to find encouragement and inspiration here, so I can maintain the style this time. I’ve began by two strand twisting my hair in hopes of loc(ing) it this way, as oppose to the comb twist as I did before. They were very nice before, but wanted to try something new. Thanks again for your site, and peace and blessings to you. ~Namaste’ Darlene C

      Hi Darlene,
Thanks for stopping by. I’ve been through the loc journey as well, and let’s just say that I, too have been discouraged. But I have secured alot of information, techniques and info along the way. My plans for this site includes a wealth of information for loc maintenance, in addition to general natural hair care. I look forward to sharing with you. Stay tuned! :) Peace & Blessings!

I’ll be here…..i wonder is there a difference between dreads and locs? Much success in maintaining a great site.

    • naturalhairloveaffairNo Gravatar says:

The only difference is the mentality and energy behind the term. Some people believe that wearing locs is a “DREAD”ful thing. I prefer to use ‘locs’ to promote practicing positive speaking to attract what you say, think and feel. Thanks again for the love! :)

      • DarleneNo Gravatar says:

You’re certainly welcome. Thanks for the insight. I’m with you on the positive speaking it’s a must! Unfortunately, its hard to find individuals that truly believe in this, there has to be negative somewhere. Yet, it looks like I’ve found the site..thanks again, I look forward to this Vibe…..
